Summer means one thing – it’s grillin’ time. It’s time to break out those tasty meats and get to seasoning with this delish Paleo sugar free bbq rub from The Domestic Man. Hints of toasty onion and a little heat from Chipotle will make you say “Sugar in a BBQ rub? I don’t need no stinkin’ sugar!”

paleo homemade sugar free bbq rub

Yields 3

Sugar free paleo bbq rub, goes great on pork or chicken.


4 tbsp kosher salt
4 tbsp paprika
2 tbsp black pepper
2 tbsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder, toasted preferred
1 tsp ground celery seed
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp chipotle powder


“To make this rub, carefully add half of the salt to half of the paprika, then combine a pinch of the garlic powder, then…just kidding. Just throw it all together, and enjoy.” -By Domestic Man

    This is my go to bbq rub recipe. It’s fantastic on chicken! I’ve made beer can chicken’s, grilled chicken breast and sautéed chicken using this rub and it’s DELICIOUS!
