Golden Plantain Pilaf

Chef Ann developed this recipe for an AIP "rice" because she wanted something different than riced cauliflower. The plantains combined with the prunes add a slight sweetness to the dish while the shallots and garlic add to the savory profile. It is a welcome change as well as completely AIP! Golden Plantain Pilaf
green plantains
extra virgin olive oil
minced onion
minced garlic

Receiving and Storage: Must be received and stored frozen until “use-by” date. May be held refrigerated up to 3 days prior to reheating and consumption.

Heating Instructions: Remove package from freezer and defrost overnight in refrigerator.  Preheat oven to 350F and remove film from container. Place on sheet tray and cover with foil. Heat for 10-12 minutes until hot all the way through. Microwave: peel back film to vent and heat on high for 2 minutes until hot all the way through.
