Meet the POTG Team


Dave RohdeDave Rohde is the founder and CEO of Paleo on the Go, LLC (POTG for short), which started its journey in February of 2012 with a brick and mortar location in Largo, FL. Dave studied chemistry at Georgia Southern University for two years after attending college and playing baseball in a very competitive junior college baseball league in Northern Florida. Regardless of talent, health was a huge challenge to play at that level. This formal education in Chemistry helped shape his perspective and in-depth comprehension of the science behind this logical, yet discouraged by the mainstream, way of eating and living. The SAD diet was completely void of current science but sure had marketing dollars to misinform. Think of the old food pyramid and even the current government supported food plate model.

Dave drew on his diverse background to embark on a new journey in the food business. Leading a company that produces meals using only the highest quality ingredients, including hard to source specialty items, proved to be an exciting challenge.

From the start, POTG's business model was to make their food accessible to all of the United States via Creating truly amazing paleo and autoimmune protocol (AIP) meals, veggie sides, healthier desserts, bone broth, soups, sauces, etc., was what Dave set out to do, and that hasn't changed a bit. Making their own bone broth with grass-fed beef bones and organic vegetables, and literally hand-crafting Chicken Pot Pies made with AIP flours and organic free-range chicken; are two examples of what “made from scratch” really looks like. POTG ships their meals frozen in 3 days or less; so don’t feel left out, California or Hawaii, POTG does not give preferential treatment to any specific locations. With POTG’s very quick turn-around processing and shipping time, Seattle folks, don’t be surprised if an order containing 30 products is placed on a Thursday and shows up on your doorstep on Friday or Saturday!

Dave chooses to live a paleo lifestyle if you can call "do this or die" a choice. After experiencing many years of suffering severe reactions to seemingly every type of food, even the most seemingly innocuous foods that doctors were promoting, Dave was at a loss for what to do. He was experiencing severe chest, throat, and esophagus pain, and could barely swallow food (we're talking almost choking to death as often as once a week....pretty frightening. Dave was later diagnosed with Eosinophilic Esophagitis or EoE, a type of autoimmune disease. EoE is just one of many autoimmune diseases, which all seem to start with poor gut health and broken biochemistry. Dave also experienced brain fog, stomach pain, chronic fatigue, and other various other ailments; just to name a few. He pursued natural and conventional methods alike, for many years, spending a lot of money and not seeing improvements. Soon after he essentially gave up on tests, treatments, and 'wonder supplements' that didn’t work, he stumbled upon a new, yet ancient, way of eating and living that is made up of real food that reduces inflammation and subsequent gut damage, along with adhering to other healthy ways of living. Dave quickly dove into as much education as he could and realized that this very different way” of eating made a lot of sense and could be the answer he was looking for all along. Jumping right in with strict compliance yielded pretty immediate results.

ast forward to 2018. Dave is continuing to see health improvements but is very much a work in progress. Although many of his symptoms have subsided; he is staying as strict as possible to the autoimmune paleo protocol, and will be incorporating more of POTG’s ketogenic friendly offerings, along with coping with and mitigating stress, which is not conducive to healing the gut and the body, and in his estimation, the biggest lifestyle factor that holds him back from truly optimal living.

Dave is excited about the successes in his personal health journey, along with many cool ideas being developed at Paleo On The Go.


Ann LotterhosAfter a lifelong interest in cooking which began with a job in her father’s luncheonette, Ann decided to attend culinary school to gain more knowledge on cooking techniques. In 1994, she graduated from The Culinary Institute of America. Her first position out of school was with New York City’s 4-star, French American restaurant mastering many of the techniques popular in the 90’s. Chef Ann moved on to work in Maui at Roy Yamaguchi’s restaurant Nicolina. Here she had the opportunity to learn and perfect cooking Pacific Rim and Hawaiian cuisines. She’s no stranger to travel and Chef Ann has cooked delicious meals from around the world. She mastered Caribbean and Puerto Rican Cuisines while living and working as an Executive Chef at a resort in Puerto Rico. She’s also owned a Cajun Creole New Orleans Restaurant and worked as a private family chef.

"Cooking is more than a job to me. It is a passion. I collect and develop recipes and cookbooks as a hobby. I love experimenting with new ingredients and new cooking techniques. Working in a paleo kitchen has sparked my creativity and is giving me the opportunity to grow again as a chef."


Douglas RohdeDoug lives in Wisconsin with his wife Valerie and his children Ryne, Benjamin and Anneliese. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Kennesaw State University, and EMT-Intermediate certificate from North Metro Technical college. Doug has been inspired by computers and graphic design ever since learning about it on his mother's Mac Centris 610 when he was 10 years old.

He has always been interested in gardening and growing healthy foods for his family and maintains multiple vegetable gardens. Doug loves to cook, and his garden provides fresh vegetables for the meals he creates, some of which have ended up on the Paleo On The Go menu.

Doug is sharing his passion for eating healthy by keeping up and running efficiently, and helping to bring healthy food options to as many people as possible.

KELLY LOVE | Digital Marketing & Communications Manager

Kelly LoveKelly made the transition to the sunshine state permanently in 2016 after growing up in the great midwest; specifically the nation’s high five -- Michigan. She graduated from Northwood University with Bachelor Degrees in Entertainment, Sports, and Promotions Management, and Business Marketing and Management in 2005. She changed career paths for three years doing a Masters Degree in Architecture at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, but knew her passion was always in seeking what others were wanting and needing.

Kelly came to Paleo on the Go in March of 2019 after struggling with Chronic Active Epstein Barr for years. After changing her eating habits and only eating the AIP diet and going 100% sugar free for a little over 30 days, she was able to reset her entire immune system and change her life forever. She sought out an opportunity with POTG because they are impacting and changing lives through health specifically.

With more than 15 years experience in Marketing and Customer Relations, Kelly’s innate talent and intuition for how people think, act and ultimately buy, is what has fueled her career. As the Digital Marketing & Communications Manager, her role consists of everything from partnerships, to social media, to email marketing, to brand coordination, and everything in between.

In her off time, she enjoys staying active in ministry leading and mentoring high school girls, owns a photography company, KLove Photography, Design & Creative, and is an avid Michigan State fan.

KIM WYNN | Production Manager

Kim WynnAfter working many years in customer service and sales, Kim has found that putting a smile on a customer’s face is rewarding and the fulfillment of her work. She credits her empathy towards others to her first job out of highschool which involved helping special needs.

She’s a star in customer service her experience comes from working with reputable companies as AT&T and Xerox. She then moved to direct sales by obtaining her Real Estate license. She has a passion for outside sales and loves connecting with potential customers and affiliates. As a young girl growing up with weight issues and being overweight she decided to become healthier partaking in sports turning her passion for food into a passion for good health. When the opportunity became available to join Paleo On The Go to assist customers make the Paleo diet a lifestyle, she was excited to be a part of the company. She looks forward to sharing Paleo On The Go with more people nationally and in the local community.

“I believe that your body is like a car, if you get the oil changed regularly and use premium gas it runs at optimal performance. Your body is no different.” I love sharing with others that eating real foods can be fun and cheer them on to a healthier lifestyle.

KATIE FLORIN | Business Manager

Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Katie moved to Florida with her husband just 2 days after getting married to seek new adventures and opportunities. 6 years later Katie and her Husband have added 2 additions to the family with their daughter and son, and couldn't be happier in the sunshine state.

When Katie read about the job opening at Paleo On The Go, she saw it as an opportunity to not only expand her knowledge on health, food, and fitness, but to help make better choices for her and her family. She now contributes to the daily hustle and bustle of the POTG offices, helping to ensure the business stays strong and continues to deliver Real Food to everyone in the United States!

REX BURGOS | Shipping and Inventory Manager

Rex BurgosRex started at POTG over two years ago as a packaging associate. Rex moved into shipping and became the shipping manager after a year, due to his great work ethic and leadership skills. Rex now leads with entire production floor. Rex's 4 years of experience in the fast-paced world of food service helped lead to his success with POTG. Rex has a great attitude, “can do” attitude, makes him great to work with. He effectively delegates responsibilities to members of his team and is an example of demanding excellence while showing respect. Rex understands the importance and challenges of the Paleo and AIP lifestyle for so many people, and this big picture view helps motivate him to work hard every day.

ROY SWAILS | Bakery Manager

Roy SwailsRoy Swails was like most southern teenagers taking their first job at a local fast food restaurant. From this opportunity, he developed an understanding of how the operation worked and decided to remain in the Food Industry. After 15 years of fast food management, he directed his talents to the mall environment. After managing a Cinnabon and several Great American Cookies locations for 18 years he found his love was baked goods.

Roy joined Paleo on the Go in September 2016 as the Bakery Manager preparing baked paleo goods that help many people with less than perfect health. With over 30 years of management experience, Roy brings to us extensive management skills and operational baking experience.

EVAN WYSS | Social Media & Partnership Coordinator

Evan WyssEvan Wyss is the Social Media & Partnership Coordinator at Paleo On The Go. He was born in Saint Petersburg, Florida and attended the University of Central Florida majoring in Humanities and Spanish. During his time at University he became interested in the paleo diet after learning how gluten affected his health. After college, he moved to New York City where he worked at a small ad agency, focusing on developing brands for natural foods startups.

His passion for the real food lifestyle combined with his experience in brand and marketing make him the perfect addition to the POTG team.

CHRIS MCCORMICK | Creative Digital Strategist

Chris McCormickChris was born and raised in Southern California. After graduating high school he studied Graphic Design/Restaurant Management and worked for years in the Food & Beverage industry, dabbling in graphic/web design and blogging on the side. He is also an artist working in ceramics and digital manipulation. After many years he tired of working in restaurants and returned to school, receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Internet Marketing. It was during this period that a spur of the moment decision brought Chris across the country to live in Florida. And a position in the marketing office at Paleo on the Go soon followed. “Working here has opened my eyes to the ways we can heal our bodies with food” he says, “I am slowly changing my diet to reduce inflammation, lose weight and make me feel better overall”
